Hi, I’m Tracey.

I help YOU develop, compile, research and write your personal story for presentation as a life story, biography or memoir in printed and digital form.

The final presentation options are many and include: simple biography booklets; custom books containing family stories, history, photos and family trees; compilation books of family information and photos; commercial manuscripts for publishing by a printing house; and visual stories through photo placement in albums or photo books. My specialist skill is being an investigative writer for people who want to write their family story but know little about their family history or the times surrounding their ancestors’ living. To this end, I can research and create historical profiles and stories of people and families depicting where they lived, where they travelled, their occupations, their siblings and descendants, what life was like, and the local and global events which would have affected them.

My joy is to see, experience, listen to and tell the genuine stories of people, places and communities around me.

I am skilled in identifying the key elements and watershed moments of a story and arranging them into a meaningful written or visual narrative. I think critically, reflectively and creatively.

    Any further preliminary consultations will be charged by the hour, to be paid upfront. These can be in person (in Perth Australia), over the phone, or via Zoom, or another app.

  • Depending on the smaller size of the project or it being the initial stage of the project, I will charge by the hour at an hourly rate depending on the complexity of the project.

    For larger projects, I will charge a single project fee to be paid in stages.
